Why I Created Rivers Beside You
More than support—someone beside you.
After many years working as a Care Manager, including specialising in dementia support, I saw first-hand how important the right support can be.
I also saw how easily people can begin to feel like they are being cared for, rather than cared about.
That's why I created Rivers Beside You.
I wanted to offer something more personal. A service built around kindness, trust and real relationships, where every visit is shaped around the person, not a timetable.
Whether it's sharing a cup of tea, accompanying someone to an appointment, helping around the home, getting out into the community or supporting families through difficult decisions, my goal is always the same:
To help people feel happier, more confident and able to continue living life their own way.
I believe the smallest moments often matter the most—a familiar face, a shared laugh, a listening ear or simply knowing someone is beside you.
Those are the moments that build confidence, reduce worry and help people continue enjoying the life they've created.

A Little About Me
When I'm not working, you'll usually find me enjoying a good cup of tea, spending time with my family, exploring Devon or chatting with friends.
I believe life's greatest joys are often the simplest ones, and that's something I try to bring into every visit.

I'd love to meet you.
Choosing support is a big decision.
Whether you're looking for companionship, practical help or simply want to explore what's possible, I'd be delighted to have a friendly conversation.
There is never any pressure—just an opportunity to talk about what would work best for you or someone you love.
